“Geek Week” on the Amazon App Store: Useful Apps at Discounted Prices

Say what you will about the Amazon App Store, but one thing is for certain: it’s an avenue that definitely offers apps at low cost. This week Amazon has decided to offer a slew of useful “productivity” apps at discounted prices in what they are calling “Geek Week.” These discounted apps cover everything an Android “geek” could want from tethering to remote desktop access, and all for 50%+ off. The list includes a few Android user favorites and are well worth their full price let alone these ridiculously slashed prices. Let’s take a look at what Amazon is offering up to Android users for their promotional “Geek Week.”

  • EasyTether ($4.99) – EasyTether shares your Android smartphone connection with your PC. This handy app from Mobile Stream allows you to tether your Android to a desktop or notebook computer. EasyTether uses exactly the same data plan that you already use for your on-phone internet access, and your USB connection ensures a fast transfer speed. Access your built-in browser, e-mail, and YouTube applications with no additional tethering or broadband fees.
