Google announced a slight tweak to the Google News website for Android 3.0+ tablets last night. Nothing too crazy here, but it does maintain consistency with other UI changes across Google products. Columns are now optimized on the home page so that things look great in both landscape and portrait mode while a new menu stays across the top for easy navigation between sections. Additional details include support for finger swiping when viewing the multimedia strip in expanded story boxes and a friendly edition picker. If you have a Honeycomb tablet (or iPad), you’ll notice the new Google News right away.
