Google’s Niantic Labs has launched its latest application, a location-based/augmented-reality game called Ingress. Available as a beta-only game at this time, it is inspired by geocaching and looks to split the world into two factions. Should you feel like taking up the cause, you can sign up for the invite-only beta at the Ingress website. The game itself is already available in the Google Play Store but will not work until you’re given the clearance.
