Here’s how to get a free movie rental from Google via your Chromecast

If you’re the proud owner of a Chromecast device, you are in for a bit of a treat from Google. To celebrate the devices 2nd birthday, Google is giving a way a free movie rental, courtesy of Google Play.

In order to redeem this offer, simply hit the link here, and you will be directed to any offers that you have that are attached to your Chromecast. From there you will be able to either redeem the offer, or buy a Chromecast. Once you hit Redeem, you will be walked through the process of installing the Google Cast Chrome Extension, which will connect your Chromecast to Chrome.

Once connected you will be able to redeem your offer so that you can get one free movie rental. In addition to the movie rental, Google is offering 90 days of Google Play Music for free. These two offers won’t be around forever, however, the free movie rental is available until December 31st and the 90 day trial of Play Music is available until 1/31/16.

If you haven’t picked up a Chromecast but have been in the market for one, now may be your chance to get one. For only $35, you really can’t beat how convenient this device is, and it is a welcome addition to anyone’s tech arsenal.
