HTC on Monday confirmed the U.S. availability for its Desire 800 and Desire 600 series of smartphones. Touching down tomorrow, August 12, the Desire 816 (pictured above) will be available through Virgin Mobile on a number of rate plans. The Desire 610 and Desire 816 will also be sold direct to consumers via HTC’s website. The two devices packs a number of signature HTC features including BoomSound (front-facing dual speakers), HTC Zoe, and HTC BlinkFeed.
The HTC Desire 610 features:
- 4.7” FWVGA display
- 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB on-board storage
- up to 64GB expandable storage
- 8-megapixel rear camera (1080p HD video recording)
- 1.3 megapixel front camera
The HTC Desire 816 features:
- 5.5” HD720 display
- 1.6GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU
- 1.5GB RAM
- up to 128GB expandable storage
- 13 megapixel rear camera (1080 HD video recording)
- 5-megapixel front camera
Offered in a variety of colors and options, the two models are the “first of many HTC Desire smartphones coming to the U.S. market this year”.
