htc_click_3The forthcoming HTC Click handset is expected to drop in around $300 before any subsidation.  That would put it a couple of hundred dollars less than the current models being offered and quite attractive to people looking for their next smart phone.   With such a low price tag,  HTC (High Tech Computer) expects to see their revenues grow by 11% and their shipments by 19% in fourth quarter of 2009.

Economic Daily News (EDN) cites data from Merrill Lynch that says the HTC Click is slated to drop around the same time as their Windows Mobile-based HTC Mega smartphones late Q3 early Q4.

Will HTC be the first company to drop a sub $100 Android handset?
