HTC will begin taking pre-orders for its virtual reality headset, the Vive, starting February 29. That is, according to a recent Telegraph report.
HTC CEO Cher Wang, in speaking with the news outlet, advised that virtual reality will become more important than to the company in the long run.

As far as price and launch dates go, neither have been made public just yet. Still, given it’s being positioned to take on the PlayStation VR and Oculus Rift, we’d expect something that’s a few hundred bucks, or more.
HTC showed off its second-gen developer kit, the Vive Pre, last week at CES where it was well-received. The new model has been updated to include a front-facing camera, bringing in a whole assortment of real-world possibilities. Moreover, the new model is more comfortable and can accommodate wearers who have eyeglasses, too.
