Inbox by Gmail was updated today to bring you several cool new features. Google wants to help you easily sort through your emails, and this latest update lets you keep better track of events, newsletters and links.

Google Calendar Events

When you’re planning an event with friends and family, you’ll often get a barrage of emails from people, saying who is going, who can’t go, travel itineraries, etc. Now Inbox will automatically gather all of the emails from an event and compress them into one overview, so you can see at a quick glance any updates.

Newsletters

Many websites are turning to newsletters once again as a way to keep readers informed. Due to the rise of ad blockers, websites can give readers daily and/or weekly updates, while inserting an ad here and there in the email. We love newsletters, and Inbox now makes it easier to preview them. If you get a lot of newsletters from a single source, like Medium, Inbox will automatically sort them into one overview, so your email inbox will be less cluttered.

Saving Links

Have you ever emailed yourself a link to a website or article that you want to check out later? I know I have (but now I use Instapaper). Now Google makes it easier with a new “Save to Inbox” button, both on mobile and the web. The links will be automatically gathered into once place.
