With Android games becoming increasingly popular, there are more and more products that are allowing us to change the way we play. For some, the biggest negatives in handheld gaming are that the screen is too small and the controls aren’t quite up to par. That’s where Ingeo comes in with its IndieGogo project.
Created by a company called Ingeonix, Ingeo is a dock that holds the Android phone, connecting it to the TV through an HDMI cable. This projects the image of the phone onto the TV, allowing the user to have a more thorough experience. Ingeo is also packaged with a controller that connects to the phone via Bluetooth. Currently, there are hundreds of games compatible with the system, and more will most likely be added within the coming months.
For $49 you get set up with a dock and a controller, and you’re helping the company’s $200,000 goal. The goal needs to be met by November 2nd, otherwise Ingeonix receives none of the pledges. So, if you’re at all interested, be sure to make your contributions before the cut off date.
Have your Android gaming habits changed over the last year or so? Does a console-like experience pique your interest? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below.
