For a long time a high-end tablet has been overdue from LG, and now it seems that our wait is over. The company has filed a trademark application at the USPTO for multiple portable communication apparatuses that includes tablets, smartphones, microphones and a host of other devices.
While it cannot be confirmed that the said device, G Pad X, is going a tablet on the basis of a trademark application, there are some strong signs suggesting that it could indeed be one. Of course, the biggest hint is its codename – G Pad X, which is a clear give away.
The “X” could stand for the size of the tablet – just like the LG G Pad 10.1 or it could have a cool name denoting its powerful performance like “Xtreme.”
Even at present, LG has some cool tablet options available including the G Pad 7, G Pad 8, G Pad 8.3 etc., but none of them can compete with high-end tablets available in market. If our assumptions turn out to be true, we might hear some big announcements from the Korean company at CES 2015 or Mobile World Congress.
