LG Unveils Optimus EX for Korea

The LG Optimus EX, a phone that has seen its share of leaks recently, just became official. LG unveiled the handset for Korea earlier today, tapping it with an unspecified price and launch date. Specifications fall right in line with Samsung’s Galaxy S II and include a dual-core 1.2GHz Tegra 2 processor, 4.0-inch (700-nit, IPS-based) LCD display, 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. The Optimus EX runs Android 2.3 with a light LG skin, and also features a pair of cameras (5-megapixel rear, VGA front-facing), as well as a 1,500mAh battery.

Korea’s SK Telecom is said to be getting the phone before others, however we might get to see this in the United States. Seeing as how T-Mobile offers a variation of the Optimus 2X, this would make for a decent followup to the G2X.
