LinkedIn Mobile App Beefs up its Resume in Latest Update

“Faster, Simpler, Better!” That’s how the LinkedIn mobile team is describing the newly updated LinkedIn app for Android. With LinkedIn mobile page views growing more than 400% each year, the LinkedIn mobile team felt it necessary to revamp their mobile app to ensure its members receive the best user experience possible. By listening to user feedback, the LinkedIn mobile team has rebuilt the app around what’s most important to its users, focusing on four key elements:

  • Updates: View updates from your network and top news from LinkedIn Today
  • Inbox: You can view your invitations and messages in one place
  • You: Access your profile, connections, share updates, and even more in the future
  • Groups & More: Browse and interact with your groups, as well as build your network through our “People You May Know” feature

The two biggest user generated changes include the ability to now access the millions of LinkedIn Groups along with the app opening to the “Update Stream” which showed to be the most used area of the LinkedIn application. Mobile users are not only being treated to a better mobile application experience but also to a better mobile experience altogether. Android users can now enjoy the newly revamped LinkedIn mobile site by visiting

The mobile team over at LinkedIn has grown tremendously since the beginning of the year and they are working hard to expand their commitment of a “Faster, Simpler, Better” mobile user experience with additional features and improvements set to appear within coming months.
