Google has clearly embraced its Material design philosophy as the future look of Android. Material design is Google’s design language for Android 5.0 Lollipop and future versions. It uses grid-based layouts, responsive animations and transitions, and so forth.

In addition to Chrome and Gmail among other apps, now Chromecast and Google Opinion Rewards have joined the ranks.

Chromecast, of course, is the popular USB-sized media streaming device that connects to the HDMI port of a TV or monitor. Pairing up a smartphone, tablet, or computer allows the user to enjoy content on the big screen with no cables attached.

Google Opinion Awards allows users to respond to surveys in order to Google Play credits. Surveys they receive are dependent on their answers to the basic questions that appear when they first open the app.
