MetroPCS on Friday announced its newest Android smartphone, the waterproof, dust-proof, and shock-proof Kyocera Hydro XTRM. Powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the 4G LTE handset features a 4-inch, impact-resistant display, 5-megapixel rear camera, and front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera. Pricing is listed at $169 (with no contract) and the phone can be paired with any of the carrier’s plans which start as low as $40 per month.
