Well, now that we got “Droid” out of our system (or did we?), we’re ready to move on to the next thing. In this case, the next thing happens to be Droid Eris, also headed for Verizon.  Very little has been gathered about this device considering it will arrive in just over a week. Verizon has been mum so far so everything known has been Encyclopedia Brown work.
Here’s what’s been agreed upon so far:
- It’s made by HTC
- It’s essentially a Verizon branded Hero
- It’s rumored to be $99 with 2-year plan
- It drops on November 6th
Today sees us picking up a couple more specs thanks to a PhoneArena tipster.
- 5 megapixel camera
Nothing earth-shattering, we know. But you gotta give the spies and double agents a little credit. November 6th is right around the corner so we’ll know everything in a matter of days. Isn’t it fun to play these leak games?

If this phone gets Andriod 2.0, and if it is better optimized to the point where the lag that's been reported goes away, this may be the phone to get. Like the specs and apparent speed of the Motorola Droid, but man that thing is ugly. Patience may pay off here. I just wish I had some!
It would be nice if this were coming to t-mobile. Would really like a sense UI phone for the carrier.
