Motorola is set for an event on July 28th. People are expecting a third generation Moto X and Moto G and are hoping for a second generation Moto 360.

There has even been talk that there will be two Moto Xs reveiled at the event. A smaller 5.2-inch phone and a 5.7-inch phablet. Additionally, it would appear that only the larger Moto X will be available on Verizon’s network along with a new Droid that could also be announced on at the event.

Moto G leaks and rumors have been running around the internet lately. Here, we have some press renders and here a video leaked some time ago.

All of our information has lead to the following spec sheet.

  • 5-inch 720p display
  • 1.4 GHz quad core Cortex A53 CPU(Snapdragon 410)
  • 1GB RAM and 8/16GB of internal storage
  • 13MP rear-facing camera
  • 5MP front-facing camera
  • micro-SD card slot
  • 2,470 mAh battery

However, this new eCommerce page from fnac claims 2 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 610 in tow according to Techdroider.

Edit: Thanks to an observant reader, we now know that fnac has been updated to show 1 GB of RAM. Much to both of our disappointment.

Would you purchase the Moto G if Motorola finally brings it up to 2 GB of RAM? In my experience with both generations previous, the 1 GB of RAM was the only thing keeping it from being able to be my daily driver.

What do you think? Would you get the new Moto G after the announcement on the 28th? Or will you opt for the Moto X?
