Nom! Foodspotting (Lite) Arrives on Android

The official Foodspotting application for Android has finally arrived, bringing food discovery and recommendation to your favorite handset.  Released as a lite version, the Foodspotting app lets users browse and search for nearby meals based on location and photos provided by the community.  Should come across a meal that you just have to share with everyone, snap a pic and post it.

The lite version has a few features to start off, with more already in the works.  For now, users can see the nearest, latest and best foods around them, look up restaurants, and find specific foods to satisfy a craving.  Down the road, Foodspotting plans to build in the ability to view profiles and interact with guides.  Head to the Android Market to download the app and get started!  The free title works on all Android devices at 1.5 and above.  If you are not familiar with Foodspotting or simply don’t have an account, setup is a breeze.  From start to finish, we used up a whole 1 minute creating an account.
