Oppo today revealed its 6-inch smartphone, the R7 Plus, is available for customers living in North America. Powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop with Oppo’s ColorOS, the handset is packs a quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 3GB RAM.
The 6-inch display is a big one to be sure, however it’s 1920 x 1080 is lower than what other high-end, large devices typically offer. On the other hand, this helps to keep costs down.
In terms of camera’s the Oppo R7 Plus offers a rear 13-megapixel Sony sensor with f/2.2 aperture while the front is an 8-megapixel shooter.
Storage is pegged at 32GB with microSD expansion card slot adding room for music, media, and other files. The battery, listed at 4100mAh, should be more than enough to get most users into a second day.
The Oppo R7 Plus supports the HSPA+ networks of both AT&T and T-Mobile; there is no LTE support, however. Pricing is listed at $470, though it does appear to be out of stock at this time.
