For you gamers out there, papaya is not a new name to you.  Now, they offer in-app billing.  IAPs are already successful with iOS, and Glu Mobile, one of the leading producers of 3D social mobile games, has announced that they have implemented IAPs already into Gun Bros, Deer Hunter, Challenge and World Series of Poker – Hold’em Legend.

With the IAPs, the user can do just that, purchase from within the app.  If you download a trial version, or a free, lite version of an application, you can buy the full version from right inside the application, rather than uninstalling the lite version, and downloading the full version.

Although this info is great for the end users, it makes things for the developers much easier also.  Now, you can create a trial version of your application, and then from inside the app, voilà, download the full version, seamlessly.  From a press-release on MarketWire, we learn that PapayaMobile

  • announced that Android’s In-App billing is now available on its social gaming network, enabling 10 million Papayans to engage in microtransactions through Google’s new solution. Papaya Farm HD is the first game to roll out this solution with all other Papaya games to immediately follow.
  • will also integrate Android’s In-App billing into its Social SDK and Game Engine products, making it a one-stop-shop where Android developers can find the most advanced monetization tools the market has to offer.
