YouTube has been rumoured for a while to be exploring the music streaming business and it looks like plans for Google to make such a service happen have leaked early.

Due to be called YouTube Music Key, the service is set to be aligned with a renamed Google Play Music Key, and will cost the same $9.99 per month.

One subscription fee is said to cover both Music Key services, with the YouTube service focused on offering not only the latest chart hits, but also full concert footage and remixes, with offline listening and audio-only playback.

Music Key sounds great, but with little indication of a release date, here’s hoping it’s not too far away.
