RIM Follows Suit with Software Distribution Model

Blackberry powerhouse, RIM, announced Tuesday that they will be adding an “App Store” to their devices. Currently titled, “Application Center” the store will give access to apps directly from the handset. The main difference is they are offering 80% back to developers while Apple gives 70% and Android Marketplace is free for developers.

With the release of the Application Center not slated until March of 2009 we’ll have more coming. That will also give time for Microsoft to get on board and ready their SkyMarket.
