Samsung to intro new “A” series in wake of Alpha, report says

Samsung marked it’s step out of the plastic design market and into the premium handset range with the Galaxy Alpha – a 4.7-inch metal chassis device aimed directly at competing with the iPhone 6.

However, what was thought as a one off has turned out to be just the beginning for Samsung. The Galaxy Alpha is just the start of a whole lineup of an A-series of devices Samsung is set to announce in the coming weeks, according to sources.

Three devices will form the initial launch of the A-series, which will see the SM-A300, SM-A500, and SM-A700 being released.

These devices, and presumably the whole A-series range, will feature a design similar to that of the Galaxy Alpha, and seems to be the reboot of Galaxy devices into premium chassis.

The source states these devices will hit around Q3 of this year, potentially at IFA, but if you were unsure of which Samsung smartphone to buy before, this surely doesn’t help the situation.
