Samsung seems to be taking a page out of Verizon and Motorola’s book to help promote its line of Galaxy S phones. Samsung has fallen behind in the mobile market, and is now trying to take the lead with its star device (get it? Galaxy, star?). All terrible jokes aside, Verizon and Moto were rumored to have spent $100 million last year to promote the original Droid. That seemed to work very well, so Samsung is preparing to shell out big money for advertising all of its GS phones. These currently include the Fascinate (Verizon), Vibrant (T-Mobile), Captivate (AT&T), and the Epic 4G (Sprint). Samsung strongly believes their Hummingbird processor-powered device will catapult them straight to the top.
