Samsung’s latest flagship models, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, are selling like hotcakes as the Korean conglomerate confirmed having shipped more than 10 million units worldwide within a month of its release.
“The sales of the Galaxy S6 series have already surpassed 10 million,” a top-notch Samsung official was quoted by the Korean Herald as saying.
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been receiving rave reviews for their top-notch hardware specifications and greatly improved Touchwiz UI. Both models share 5.1-inch Quad HD display, Exynos 7420/ Snapdragon 810 CPU, 16-megapixel rear snapper and 5-megapixel selfie camera and 3GB RAM.
These devices are available in 32/64/128 GB storage variants. While the S6 series only packs a 2,600 mAh battery, it comes with built-in wireless-charging option – making it quite a lucrative deal. Another USP of the Galaxy S6 Edge is its unique curved screen design that is attracting a lot of attention.
Considering the current sales trend, many industry watchers have forecasted that Samsung will easily be able to ship of 50 to 70 million units.
