Earlier this week, we posted about the Galaxy A7 specs leaking and it seems other leaks are not slowing down. Just yesterday, Sam Mobile obtained the leaked specs for the upcoming Galaxy E5 (SM-E500F) and Galaxy E7 (SM-E700F).
The Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 are looking up to be great mid-range smartphones. Both of these devices are said to sport Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, something their ‘A’ siblings are missing out on (the A series runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box).
The Galaxy E5 is said to come with a 5 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 (294 ppi), 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage with the option to expand via microSD. The device will also come with a 2,300 mAh battery and an 8 megapixel rear facing and 5 megapixel front facing camera combo. All of this is expected to weigh in at 140 grams and a thinness of 6.9 mm.
The big brother to the E5, the Galaxy E7, will have similar ranged specs except getting a bump in screen, camera, and battery size. The Galaxy E7 will sport the same 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal storage. However, this device will sport a 5.5 inch AMOLED display (720 x 1280 (267 ppi), 13 megapixel rear facing camera to go along with its 5 megapixel front facing counterpart, and a larger 2,950 mAh battery. To top it off, this device will come in at 151 x 77 x 7.2 mm with a weight that is unknown.
The Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 both have specs that can hold their own and having Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box doesn’t hurt either. Neither of these devices have been announced yet, but Sam Mobile expects it to be sometime in early 2015.
