Leaked emails from Sony hack have not only exposed many inside secrets of the tech world and Hollywood, one of them has even revealed an alleged image of Sony’s flagship device – the Xperia Z4. Containing the alleged high-end Xperia handset, the leaked email appears to be sent by Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton as part of a product-placement pitch for an upcoming James Bond flick.
Addressing the production house, Leon’s email refers to the attachment as “the needed visuals of the new Z4 Phones.” The leaked email mentions director Sam Mendes and actor Daniel Craig and producer Barbara Broccoli. If the leaked image is to be believed, the Xperia Z4 would look uncannily similar to the current Sony Xperia flagship, albeit a few changes here and there.
As far as the date of release is concerned, the leak reveals Sony’s plan to debut the Xperia Z4 in May/November next year. This makes us assume that the smartphone will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress next year, while the rumours in the past indicated a CES 2015 release.
The Xperia Z4 might feature a 5.2-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 810 chipset along with 4GB of RAM, and a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing primary snapper. Connectivity options will include NFC, Wi-Fi and Cat.6 LTE support.
