The team behind the popular music discovery application SoundHound have done it again. Today sees the developers launching another, albeit completely different, music discovery tool.  Called ‘Hound’, it lets users say the name of an artist, band, or song and get back a treasure trove of information.  We’re talking Wikipedia entries,  YouTube videos, Amazon MP3 purchase options, lyrics, websites, similar artists, tour dates, and more.  Once you get your results you can share them with whatever Android apps and contacts you’d like, letting everyone know more about your favorite songs and musicians. Another handy option is the ability bookmark the results so you can return to them later.

The free application can be grabbed out of the Android Market for anyone running 1.5 or higher.  So basically everyone.  We tried the app out a few times and came away seriously impressed with both the accuracy and the wealth of information provided.
