Xiaomi today has announced a special edition version of their Mi Note phablet with a beautiful natural bamboo back. The silver trim and white front are great color compliments for the natural brown color of the bamboo. Every special edition Xiaomi Mi Note will be “specially tailored”, with no bamboo back looking 100% the same.
The special edition Xiaomi Mi Note is about 5 grams lighter due to the natural bamboo back. Internal specs will remain the same as the original Xiaomi Mi Note. This includes, but is not limited to, the Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor, Adreno 330 gpu, 3GB of ram and 16/32 GB of internal memory.
The device is slated to go on sale beginning on March 24th for RMB 2299, which is about 370 US dollars. Not a bad price for such a great looking device. As of right now there are no plans for the Bamboo Mi Note to hit US shelves, so for now you can only purchase the device in China.
