There is a great news for Sprint customers who are planning to buy a new phone or upgrade their old phones. With the introduction of its Direct 2 You service, Sprint is aiming to provide the store like environment in the comfort of your home, workplace or Starbucks – whichever you happen to prefer.

All you have to do, is buy a Sprint mobile phone, tablet or a wireless device and Sprint will send a trained expert to deliver it at a location of your choosing. Not only will he deliver your product but he will also set it up and transfer all of their content, including contacts, pictures, videos and apps, from your old device to a new one. Also, the service doesn’t cost any extra dime.

“What make this unique is that we will deliver pretty much anywhere: Starbucks, work, home, at the gym — we can do all those different things, and it’s an exact-on-time delivery,” Sprint VP Rod Millar was quoted as saying.

While the Direct 2 You is currently only available in Kansas City – Sprint’s hometown, it will be rolled out in all major metropolitan areas by the end of the year to make wireless shopping more convenient.

On April 20, Sprint Direct 2 You will be available in the Chicago and Miami markets, with expansion nationally expected to follow throughout 2015.

If you are eligible for an upgrade, here are the steps that you need to follow.

  • Once you receive an offer to upgrade, call the Sprint phone number or reply to the email that informed you about the offer, and schedule an appointment for this free service.
  • A Direct 2 You Expert will arrive whenever and wherever you request and activate your new phone for you as per your liking.
  • You can choose to recycle or reuse your old phone
