MyTouch 4G Coming November 3rd

The phone announcements and rumors have been coming fast and furious lately, and T-Mobile just
threw their hat in the ring too. CNET is reporting that T-Mobile has just announced (officially) the newest device in the
MyTouch line, the MyTouch 4G. T-Mobile has decided to go with the “4G” instead of the “HD” branding,
so there should be an interesting 4G marketing battle coming up.

The MyTouch 4G will feature HSPA+ support to offer 4G speeds, just like the G2. However, you will also
be able to make WIFI calling, a feature that is not available on any other Android phone in the U.S. at
this time. It will also be the first phone on T-Mobile to have a front-facing camera (VGA), and 5-MP on
back. It will be fast in more ways than one as it is powered by a 1GHz processor.

Look for the MyTouch 4G to be available Nov. 3rd for $199.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50
mail-in rebate.

  1. Does anyone know what the unsubsidized price will be? Im on an even more plus plan. And i think this will be the phone i replace my original Mytouch 3g with.

  2. Probably 499.99, based on the fact that both the g2 and the vibrant cost 199.99 after mailin rebate on contact plans so it’s probably the same thing with this. It’s awesome I got to play with it today.
