It’s finally time to put the rumors to bed as Verizon officially confirms the Thunderbolt with a March 17th release date. This means that St. Patrick’s Day will be the dawn of Verizon’s 4G LTE era as the Android 2.2-powered phone lands at retail stores around the country. The price comes in right where we expected at $249.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. Given the more than two month gap since the handset was unveiled, we’ll remind you that the Thunderbolt features a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4.3” WVGA display, 8-megapixel rear facing camera, and 8 GB of onboard memory.
