verizon_logoYou didn’t think Big Red would let the other three companies run around with Android and not want to get in on the fun, did you? AT&T became the largest carrier in the US to offer Android handsets earlier this week, albeit in an unofficial way. With three of the top four providers now slated to carry Android handsets, all eyes turned toward Verizon.

Speaking at an investor conference, chief executive Lowell McAdam did confirm that Motorola Inc. (MOT) would become a major player later this year and Android was coming. As of right now further details have yet to emerge but you can bet we’ll be happy to let you know once we do. That Motorola Calgary seems a little bit more legit today than it did yesterday, doesn’t it?
