The Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY finally makes its way to the United States later this month as Verizon confirmed a May 26 launch date.  Announced in a press release today, the game-focused device will run customers $199 with new two-year customer agreement. Â
The Ginerbread-powered Xperia PLAY come pre-loaded with seven games, including Madden NFL 11, Bruce Lee Dragon Warrior, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, and The Sims 3. There will be a library of around 50 titles to choose from out of the V CAST Apps store should you find yourself looking for additional gaming selections.
As a quick recap, the Xperia PLAY boasts a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon II processor, a 4-inch display, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a VGA front-facing camera for still shots and video chats.
I don’t like the two year customer agreement. Keeping us locked in with a game system?
I don’t like this product. It’s not beautiful and inconvenient. If we want to play games, I suggest Nintendo DS.
