Somehow an early Alpha version of live video streaming app Qik made its way to Android is today. We say “somehow” because it comes a few days earlier than the company was shooting for.
The story, according to MobileCrunch, goes like this: One of the people who were testing Qik out started passing around the APK file needed to install the app. Word of said installation file quickly spread throughout Twitter and from there it became somewhat viral.
Apparently Qik originally had the intention of putting out the app later this week but had to push it up. The QIK blog has posted something that makes it seem as if all is well and everything was going according to plan. You can find the app in the Android Market today at the totally awesome price of FREE!
