Walmart’s StraightTalk to Intro Samsung Galaxy Precedent

Walmart, and its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), TracFone, are gearing up to release an Android-powered handset known as the Samsung Galaxy Precedent. The up-front price is said to be $150 off-contract whereas the monthly bill of $45 will provide consumers with unlimited voice, text, and data.

Specifications for the Android 2.2-powered Precedent are on the lower end of the spectrum, but considering the target demographic, it’s still quite a device. Hardware includes an 800MHz processor, 384MB RAM, a 3.2-inch display, and 2-megapixel camera as well as support for Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth connections.

There’s no known launch date just yet, but if interested, you can sign up for more information on the Straight Talk website.
