Wikitude World Browser 6 for Android Goes Live

Wikitude, long one of our  favorite augmented reality apps, just released version 6 this morning.  Effective immediately, customers can download the latest release  and begin locating tweets, restaurants, coupons, Wikipedia entries, Flickr, YouTube and much more.  So what’s new in this version?  Plenty!

Users can now personalize the home screen with your favorite and most often used searches, such as “coffee” for all coffee-related POIs. A new overall skin introduces folks to the corporate identity that Wikitude is rolling out and offers light colors and easy to read elements. It’s now possible to add Wikitude to your search button widget on your home screen or through your search button for quicker results, without opening the app. And speaking of widgets, World Browser 6 includes a search widget which pulls information from all sources (Cross-World-Search) to give results no matter how they were compiled. Search for “sushi” and you might get tweets, restaurant locations, and coupons all at once. Download Wikitude World Browser 6 from the Android Market today. It’s free and runs on all devices at 1.6 or higher!
