BluBoo has been teasing the S8+ for a while now, but it finally went up for pre-order on the 11th in celebration of Singles Day in China. The phone marks a significant upgrade over the original S8 in a number of different areas, all highlighted in the video above.

The S8+ comes in three colors – black, blue and silver. The 6″, 18:9 display is certainly improved in size and aspect ratio, but the 720p resolution won’t raise any eyebrows in a world of 2k displays. The display does appear to be a bit clearer and brighter than you’d expect from a 720p, which is not nothing. The S8+ also features an upgraded 4/64GB RAM/ROM, though BluBoo is still mum on the other, more detailed aspects of the phone. Inside the box you can see that BluBoo has included a case and a screen protector, as well as two USB-C cables and two USB-C adapters – nice to see in an era where companies make glass-framed phones with the expectation that you’ll foot the bill for a case yourself.

While the S8+ is still in it’s pre-order period, the first 1,111 buyers can get one at a steep discount of $149.99. If you’re interested in BluBoo’s S8+, check out its pre-order page on GearBest for more details.
