In October, Oukitel released the world’s first entry level full-screen smartphone in the C8, and according to the company it’s been a hot seller. However, the Oukitel C8 is a 3G-only smartphone, thus limiting its utility in a largely 4G world. In order to meet the needs of a wider market, Oukitel is releasing a new smartphone – the C8 4G. While it share its branding with the C8, it really is a new phone from a ground up, sharing only superficial similarities.
It’s got decent specs, but nothing world-shaking or ground-breaking. With a 5.5″ 18:9 720p display, a MTK6737 quad-core processor, 2/16GB RAM/ROM (expandable up to 64GV), and a 3000mAh battery. It’ll run Android 7.0, but won’t likely be able to handle a ton of multitasking or heavy apps. It will come in five colors, perfect for a personal touch. But the real kicker is the price – just $89.99.
Pre-order is planned to take place during Oukitel’s “1111” event – likely 11/11 – so if you’d like to get your hands on a C8 4G, circle that date.
