Oukitel looks to upend the budget smartphone market with the Oukitel C8 (Sponsored)

Oukitel appears to be on some sort of mission to bring infinity screens to the world at the moment. And I gotta admit, I dig its moxy. Fresh off announcement of the K10000 Pro and Mix 2, Oukitel is bringing out yet another smartphone, this time a budget, 18:9 phone with a Galaxy-style Infinity screen – the Oukitel C8.

Normally with entry-level devices you see a distinct lack of features that make flagship phones so popular, in order to meet that lower price point. Oukitel, however, seems rather determined to cram as many features into the C8 as possible while still keeping the price way down.

First of all, the C8 is the first entry level smartphone to have an 18:9 aspect ratio – which gives it a slimmer profile and makes it easier to use in one hand. Secondly, that aforementioned bezel-less display – a 5.5″ LTPS screen with Dragon Glass (which is similar to Gorilla Glass). The C8 also comes standard with features we’ve come to expect from flagships, like a fingerprint sensor, 3000mAh battery, and dual rear cameras. It only rocks 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM – though that latter is expandable via MicroSD slot – so it won’t be nearly as snappy as those flagships, but the features are definitely there.

The real selling point, however, is that price – a mere $69.99. Wow.

The Oukitel C8 is up for preorder now, in five different colors. Keep your eyes on Oukitel, dear Android Guys.
