In our last couple posts about OUKITEL’s WP5000, we highlighted its environmental toughness and its ability to take a beating. However, we were missing a complete set of specs for the phone, to really see what’s under the hood. Fortunately, OUKITEL has graciously provided one for us, along with a new video showcasing its IP68 rating.
The video below puts the WP5000 through 14 “torture tests.” Needless to say, the WP5000 came through unscathed.
The video even shows off the WP5000’s ability to take pictures and answer calls under water. With the camera open, clicking the Volume Down key takes a picture, and shaking the phone when receiving a call answers it. The team at OUKITEL even tested the durability of the WP5000 with lime and cement, with no damage whatsoever. To top it off, they doused it with alcohol and lit it on fire – still in perfect condition (to be fair, I’m sure the alcohol they used had a low burning temperature – but it’s still a really cool visual).
