The original BLUBOO S8 sports a 5.7″ display; the BLUBOO S8+ is packed with a 6″, 720p Sharp display. The S8+ also features in-cell technology for a slimmer profile. Moreover, it allows the S8+ to keep a low weight of around 200 grams even with the increased size. This technology also helped the company to free some space for a larger battery and improve screen image and video performance. The BLUBOO S8+ comes with a dual-curved front panel and the screen made of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to avoid scratches and other minor damage.
While the BLUBOO S8 has a distinct appearance among mid-range phones, the BLUBOO S8+ definitely inherited and even improved upon this design. It still uses a sleek metal frame, Zn-Ti alloy, which brings durability to the phone as well as makes it look more attractive. The CNC-crafted frame is a pleasure to hold in-hand. What’s more, the body passes through various processes like nano-coating and advanced polishing, combining for a stunning visual.
The BLUBOO S8+ comes in more color options than the S8, including Deep Night Black, Sapphire Blue, and Mirror Silver. All three variants look amazing, especially the silver version.
The MT6750T is an octa-core chip with a Mali T-860 GPU. In comparison to previous MediaTek mobile chips, this one comes with an improved performance of 25% and increased power saving of 30%. This means the chip is capable of handling anything you can throw at it, from browsing, emails, messages, streaming music and video, to games without a hitch. This chip is also found in such devices as the Blackview S8, Leagoo S8, and others. It’s also paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM. Thanks to these specifications, the phone scores more than 43k at AnTuTu.
The BLUBOO S8+ adopts a 8.0MP front shooter, which provides multiple modes to create some gorgeous selfies. As for the back camera, the S8+ is equipped with a 16.0MP/3.0MP Sony dual-sensor accompanied by a dual-LED flash. So the BLUBOO S8+ is capable of taking great, natural-looking photos in any lighting condition.
The Bluboo S8+ runs 360 OS 2.0, based on Android 7.0 and optimized for a 18:9 device. This custom operating system is optimized for security, convenience and power saving. 360 OS features the largest Harassment Detection System library in China. It is capable of detecting dangers, then repairing, monitoring, and protecting in real-time. Moreover, this software comes with a Privacy System offering users a private space; only the owners of the phone can view this space that includes contacts, SMS, images, videos, apps, and other files that can have private info. Such an approach also assumes that a Bluboo S8 Plus can be used by different users. The Avatar Master feature allows them to make various accounts.
The BLUBOO S8+ is packed with a 3600mAh battery, which should be enough to keep the phone alive for a day of use. However, if you are a heavy user, don’t worry, the phone supports 5V/2A fast charge technology.
As you can see, the BLUBOO S8+ offers a number of improvements over the original S8, making it competitive in the modern mid-range phone market and the best BLUBOO phone to date. The BLUBOO S8+ is now available on BLUBOO’s website for just $149.99.
