sandisk_16gb_microsdhcStorage space will always be an issue with just about every mobile device on the market. In most instances smart phones just don’t ship with enough on board memory, so you have to look into other solutions. The SanDisk 16GB Micro SDHC memory card gives your device a major boost in storage capacity, making it a multimedia beast! Installation was a breeze, but I’d recommend a quick format before popping it in.

This is a class 2 memory card which means you should get at least 2 MB/s write time. In my use, I easily got that write rate. In fact I was amazed with just how fast I was able to transfer over 4 GB’s of music using my USB 2.0 connection directly to my G1.

I’ve used several brands of memory cards in the past including Kingston, Viking, and Transcend. While they have all provided decent results, I’ve always stuck with the SanDisk brand because of their superior ratings in neutral reviews. Just call it a personal preference. At any rate you really can’t go wrong with this one. I do wish it had shipped with the adapter, which by now seems quite common place among other manufacturers but I have a few lying around that I can use anyway. Pop in this card and feed your G1 what it craves!

The microSDHC is $69.95 at the time of this review.  You can order one for yourself in the AndroidGuys store!
