More and more bluetooth speakers are showing up everyday. It can be hard to find one that suits your needs. Inateck recently gave me a chance to try out their BTSP-10 mini HiFi bluetooth speaker. If your looking for a quality, mini bluetooth speaker this could be the one for you, read on to find out.
I don’t know why, but I had the impression that the speaker would be bigger than it was. When I opened the box I was surprised by the compact size, this isn’t a bad thing, just surprising. The speaker is coated in a soft rubber coating that makes it grippy. I immediately liked the soft, but solid feel of the speaker. I don’t know if this coating gives the speaker any water resistance, but I splashed it getting out of the shower and the speaker showed no ill effects (For the record Inateck does not list any water resistance in their specs). The speaker looks good enough to put out in the open, but is small enough to be hidden away in a corner or on a shelf. Inside the box you also find a felt bag to carry the speaker and the various cords to make everything work.
Initially, pairing the speaker with my phone was simple and quick. But, the most important part of any speaker is the sound. When I turned the speaker on for the first time the sound was kind of tinny, but that disappeared after some use. If the volume was cranked way up there was some distortion, but that is to be expected with any speaker. For the size, the sound was consistently good. I came away impressed with the performance of this bluetooth speaker. It strikes the perfect balance of size and sound quality. I wouldn’t hesitate to take this speaker with me on the go, especially with a battery that should last up to 20 hours (10 hours using bluetooth, 20 using the included 3.5mm cord). As an added bonus, the included mic made it easy to carry on a conversation if a call interrupted my music. I wouldn’t want to use the speaker to make a lot of calls, but it’s good enough to use in a pinch.
I’ve had the opportunity to use a lot of bluetooth speakers. There are some good ones and many bad ones. The Inateck BTSP-10 is one of the good ones. When you take into account it’s size, sound quality, build quality and ease of use it easily makes the speaker worth the $79.99 price. If you need huge sound then it might be better to look elsewhere, but if you just need a good, everyday speaker the Inateck should be right up your alley. If you’re interested in this bluetooth speaker, Inateck gave me a $10 off code to give you guys (good until Dec. 10): BITCDZII. You can use that code on Inateck’s website.
