BUILD

The NOVA Blox comes with a simple two ports on it; one on the front for the micro-USB and one on the back for the USB. The “block” is small, but has a premium heft to it. The device is noticeable, but easy to put in your pocket. I wouldn’t recommend putting it in their with your phone, unless you’ve got some room in there to spare, plus I wouldn’t take the chance of crushing your phone under the metal mass of this battery pack.

This portable battery stands out from other in a couple ways. First is the aluminum construction, which feels incredible. It won’t break, it won’t mold or bend. This thing is solid. A surprising feature of the NOVA Blox is the LED flashlight on one end. I’ve personally never needed to use it, but hey, why not?

DURABILITY

NOVA Blox uses powerful Samsung Lithium Ion cells, giving them all the bit of power you’d need from a 4,000 mAh battery. Charging my Nexus 5 was on par with my standard wall charger, which from 0-100% charge takes about two and a half hours. The block comes with an LED indicator to tell you how much power is left on the battery too. I have no complaints about the performance of NOVA Blox. For the current price of it, $16.99 is a steal for one of the most premium portable batteries on the market.
