Even with all of the advances in Android and improvements in battery technology, one thing remains unchanged: phones will always need charged. Those of you who drive on a regular basis can attest to how much using GPS affects the life of your battery. Sure, you’re not messing with Facebook and texting (right?), but you’re still working that phone’s juice.

Don’t be silly –  get yourself a car charger and call it a day.

We recently spent some time with Lenmar’s 4ft Coil Cable, 5V, 2.0A, Dual Micro USB Car Charger and think it’s definitely one to consider. There’s not a lot of detail to go into with a review of this sort, but we still believe it’s one you ought to look into when the time comes.

The built-in cord actually splits roughly one third of the way off the plug and turns into two micro-USB plugs. This is invaluable for people who tend to spend a lot of time commuting with a spouse or co-worker. Yeah, it’s also great for those of us with a smartphone and a second device like a Nexus 7.

You can pick one of these up for $19.99 through Lenmar’s website; however, we also found them for $15.99 through Amazon – an even better bargain.
