I have recently become a happy owner of the Lumsing 10400mAh power bank. For those who do not know, a power bank is a portable charger. You charge your power bank up and carry it with you. When your device is low on power, you can simply plug your phone into the power bank and charge your phone up without having to find and be attached to a power outlet.
I am a heavy power user, and I burn through my battery life quicker than I would like. I often found myself half way through the day and my phone battery would already be down to 30%! As a techie, I am very attached to my phone and it is not happy times at all when my phone is dead. The Lumsing 10400mAh power bank aims to help support your more power hungry devices through the day by giving them a power boost.
My Moto X has a 2200mAh battery. Mathematically, the Lumsing power bank should fill my battery up 4 8/11ths times. In reality, I am getting about 5 or 6 charges out of it as I start reaching for my power bank when my battery hits about 30% or less. This means that it will last about a week as I rarely find the need to use it more than once a day, and on Thursdays, I have no need to use it at all.
The light indicators on the power bank are helpful in knowing when it is necessary to recharge it. The power bank appears to be well built and does not heat up excessively when in use. Another useful feature is that it has two USB ports. One is a 2.1A output and the other is a 1A. Both charge well. I usually use the 2.1A with my Nexus 7 and the 1A with my Moto X.
The packaging is simple and easy to open. A nice cardboard box contains everything in the second picture and folds out nicely to review your new power bank. It was easily my favorite unboxing ever. The Lumsing 10400mAh power bank is a great buy in my book and a steal at $22.99 on Amazon.comÂ
