I’ve been using a new smart phone holder/stand over the last few weeks that I thought I would share it with you guys and gals.  It’s called PODSTA and it’s a soft and squishy universal way to display your favorite Android phone.  The design allows for both landscape and portrait modes which means it works well for video chat, Netflix, Hulu, speakerphone, or good ol’ standby.

The PODSTA comes in a variety of colors to suit your style and is affordable enough to where buying a few of them doesn’t break the bank.  The compact, rounded design and light weight allow for easy travel so I think nothing of tossing one in the overnight bag or suitcase.

Seeing as how the company touts the universal size to the PODSTA, I tried a number of different devices.  I found that the holder works perfect with nearly all Android handsets but that it’s probably best suited for ‘average size’ phones like the Droid Incredible, Optimus One series, G2X.  While it did fit the EVO 4G and EVO 3D, it seemed to put a slight strain on the edges of the grip.  The Nerf-like texture always seemed to bounce back into its original shape after extended use and never gave me a problem switching to smaller screens.

The PODSTA is handy device to have around, especially when you plan to watch videos or do a lot of reading on your device.  At only $12.99 a pop, I’ve already recommended this to all my friends and family for their various smart phones.  Yes, even those who haven’t gone Android just yet.
