Title: Quick Uninstall
Developer: David Blackman
Available: Now, Android Market
Price: FREE

This isn’t a very glamorous app. It’s just one of those that make perfect sense and are a must-have patch until an Android update deprecates it. For example, I used aTrackDog to check for updates to all of my installed applications. RC33 does that for me now, so I don’t need aTrackDog anymore. (Though I wouldn’t be surprised if the developer came up with some new functions, making the program relevant again.)

I hope Quick Uninstall has a short lifespan – for the sake of Android an my own convenience. But that doesn’t say anything about my opinion of the app. I love it. It is fast and simple. Rather than going to the Market, or waiting for the G1 to calculate application sizes in the “Manage Applications” function, you can use Quick Uninstall to remove an app with three clicks. That makes sense and saves time – especially when you want to dump a handful of apps at once. I was really getting tired of that application size calculating stuff.
