During all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, it is nice to have the kids preoccupied for a while as you prepare food and presents for the parties and family get-togethers that are so common this time of year. Forestry Animals is a wonderful game to keep the kids busy.

In Forestry Animals, kids can explore wildlife with seven different animals that each have several tasks to complete. There are seventeen different locations with beautiful artwork and graphics that make this game extremely enjoyable to look at. As I was exploring the game, it seemed like almost everything was interactive. I could tap on different animals and objects to have them spring to life. I was extremely pleased to see how much detail was put into all the aspects of this game. The animations were fantastic to watch as each location seemed to be alive. Each animal has different tasks to accomplish so you never feel like you are repeating the same thing over and over again. For a kid, these little games would be endless fun. Instructions are given in picture form rather than words so even young kids who do not read yet can figure out how to play each game.

Forestry Animals is recommended for kids 3-5 and is free to download in the Play Store. However, the free version only comes with one character, the bear, unlocked. It is enough to show you the games potential, but unlocking the other characters comes at a price. It is $0.99 to unlock each one individually or you can save over 50% and unlock all six at once for $2.99. One of the best things about this app is that the free version does not have any ads or links to third-party websites so there is no chance of your child being redirected to another site by clicking on an ad. Forestry Animals also takes precautions against kids buying unauthorized in app purchases by requiring the parents to complete a math problem in order to authorize the purchase. Little details like these make Forestry Animals a wonderful, kid friendly app.

What I liked:

  • Beautiful graphics
  • Easy to use and kid friendly
  • No ads
  • Great attention to detail

What I did not like:

  • The price may be a turn off to some since some tasks may no take kids long to complete
