Teamviewer can now be used on any Android phone, as long as you have version 1.6+ Android. You’ll also need at least version 6 installed on your PC.
With Teamviewer, there are a number of things that you can do: connect to your own PC, or connect to friends’ PCs. The aim of being able to connect to some else’s PC is that you can either setup programs, show someone what they need to do, or repair their PC.
It’s like having a mobile office. While out and about, you can connect to your own PC, which gives you the ability to use any of your programs. Teamviewer meets the highest security standards, 256 Bit AES session encoding and 1024 Bit RSA Key Exchange, whilst transmitting data that you know is secure.
If you’re used to the Desktop version of Teamviewer, you will be familiar with the layout of its Android partner.
Teamviewer has a load of useful features. One of the best features of this App is the ability to use the phone to make a call whilst connected to a PC remotely. Another feature that ranks near the top is the ability to remotely reboot the computer. You have complete access to all the usual keyboard and mouse gestures: single/double click, scroll, drag and drop, and zoom.
Features:
- Tablet ready
- Automatic quality adjustment
- Access computers behind firewalls and proxy servers
Teamviewer is very easy to use. All you need to do is follow the on-screen prompts. So, what are you waiting for? Get Teamviewer for free from the Android Market!
Amazing. And free. Simply amazing. I heart TV.
I was about to say old news (which it sort of is, the way the article is
written), then I realized it was just released on the Market a few
days ago. The Android version has been available on their website for 6 months or so now.
TeamViewer is great for helping people remotely since it’s fairly easy to instruct computer illiterates how to set it up, but I don’t expect to ever provide remote desktop support from my phone. For remotely accessing my own computers from my phone, which I do somewhat frequently even over LAN, I prefer androidVNC.

WARNING! DO NOT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!! YOU HAVE BEEN Warned!
Â
I purchased this software for $2,500 around 3 months ago for
a corporate license.
I was told this was a lifetime license and that I would never have to buy the
product again.
After my initial purchase I had a few issues with the software such as speed
and the file transfer utility did not work as desired. At that point I contacted
the company and expressed my issues and they said that there will be some updates
that will fix my stated problems.
3 months after my purchase I start noticing that I can’t
connect to about 20 of my 60 computers I manage. I keep getting an error that
say the version is not compatible. So it would seem there were some updates
that updated my version to a new version that I didn’t have.
So I called TV and they informed me that I must now pay another
$1000 to use the newest version they have released. So then I had to go back to
all the computer manually and remove tv 7 and install the version I got ripped
off for…
Â
TV called me on the phone and tried to sell me the newest
version and when I proceeded to tell him that what that I was no longer going
to use the product he began to yell at me and make it clear how I was stupid
for looking at other products that were cheaper like logmein and that their product
was better ect.
Â
This company is a scam and a rip off. There are so many
better alternatives out there like logmein.
We are now using logmein and I can’t say that I have never
been happier.
It was just crazy that the company would that their customers
that way after they have spent thousands of dollars with them. I will never use
their products again and I will never recommend them to any of my friends…
Â
TRUST ME… DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE!!!
Â
Â
Very simple,and very useful!
